Building Work "Practically Complete"
We have now achieved 'Practical
completion' which means that the building has been handed over to us and
the After Schools Club is now open, although there is a lot of decorating
and finishing to do.
Unforeseen difficulties delayed
the work and added considerably to the cost so we are now struggling to
get back on an even keel financially, but we trust God to lead us through
this difficult time. We want to concentrate on the work rather than the
building or finance.
Meanwhile everybody is beavering
away at the tasks that could be left for us to complete by DIY which have
meant a considerable saving on the overall cost. We are also applying for
help to kit out the building - money for items like the dishwasher, wall
kettle, cooker hood, etc has been swallowed up in the building shell and
we are seeking help from other sources to be able to fit these & make
the building better for large groups to use.
